This song is how I feel when I am out in nature.
Last May, I had the opportunity to run like a child at the waterside with 2 lovely little girls. I felt one with my surroundings and 8 years old. The penny whistle part is fast and joyous. Just as my soul felt in the wild.
The Irish in the middle are some lines that I learned while at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow, Scotland. I attended an Irish immersion class and these were 3 lines that I learned. Seemed appropriate to include them.
