lyrics

Two tens and barely two
I set my sails and travelled so far
My heart set on a distant star
I heard the sirens beckoning
yet I kept my course to find a love
the one I knew when I was 17
And in his eyes of pale ocean blue
the waves would roll away the truth
He’d paint the skies alive with sailors plight
and he’d pull me close in the veil of a starry night

Two tens and five we shined.
The sun of love burned strong and alive
The brightest kind that made me blind.
We floated round from sea to sea
until I found he had much more than me.
Little smiles on the winds mocking endlessly
And the storms would rage we nearly broke in two
And he’d smile... I’d get lost in oceans blue
But the winds would blow and I was left alone.
And all was lost. Time to build another home.

Three 10s and back on land
To a place where the waters end
A wolf, a hawk and a scorpio friend
The desert path of Cherokee
I danced the dusty roads to find a harmony
but the sirens call begged me to the sea
And with a wave a shook a song from my hair
drops of dreams and a silent prayer
reflected scenes of shipwrecks, love, a broken heart
And the journey moves on, and the traveller moves on
with an ending births a brand new start.....
brand new start
