about

An Uaimh Bhinn means Cave of Melody in Scot's Gaelic. I have had this melody floating in my head for sometime and I wanted to write another traditional sounding song with a good folkloric story. Since I have been studying Gaelic over the last year, I felt it had to have a little Gaelic woven in too. An Uaimh Bhinn is also a place called Fingal's Cave. It's a sea cave on the uninhabited island of Staffa, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland, known for its natural acoustics. To me, this became the best setting as I have been chasing this "Giant" for a few years.
The story is original.. I do not know if it resembles another tale, but I am sure it might.
