True 03:04
You were sitting in the bar and in your eyes were the stars that my little boar sailed its way to And your smile was a jar with little hopes and little jokes buzzing like the fireflies in June do And I gently took your hand in the hopes you'd understand that this was something strong I was drawn to And you came away with me and got down on bended knee And you told me that your heart was true, that your love was true. Many months and little dreams With Blake and Whitman at the seams Unfolding was a story that I once knew Of a girl who ran around Chasing, oh, that dark horse down Tears would fall like a candle burn through And at times she'd let him run Saying go on have your fun Soon you'll be home asking to forgive you My world a grain of sand, you held my innocence in your hand but there's only so much I can go through Oh, my love was true I saw him the other day 10 years had slipped away And he told me I was lookin' so fine He said," you haven't changed a hair." 'Nor have you.' I sat and stared In the eyes that I loved beyond time "Look I'm sorry for the past, you understand we couldn't last. But you were something I should have valued." And I smiled and looked away Saying 'Hey, that's okay. But I hope in the end she was true.' That her love was true.

Orion 02:56
In December we were married on a wooden ship in the woods In December day dreams flurried with a magic kiss from above In December life seems hurried but I’d never know it with you In December life’s a journey with the starlight dancing above And my world at peace and with love Orion’s high in the sky Chase his arrow, we’ll fly Stars reflect in your eyes As heaven sighs… In December life is sunshine though the sky may seem very gray In December wishes blossom through the snow and shortness of day In December it’s just me and you though the house is family full In December there are colours for I thought the prairies had none And you point each one out one by one Orion’s high in the sky Chase his arrow, we’ll fly Stars reflect in your eyes As heaven sighs… In December we were married on a wooden ship in the woods In December day dreams flurried with a magic kiss from above And my world at peace and with love

North 03:27
The mountain air, the prairie song, to salty Newfoundland The icy North, to old, old growth, to Goldrush dreams and plans, And down the falls we find our dreams in falling maple leaves... Oh Canada, I love my home Oh Canada ah ah ah ah ah Oh Canada, I love my home It's hard to be away Hockey sticks and wooly toques, to Emily Carr, Trudeau To Joni songs, and Clayoquot saws, on CBC we grow And Terri Fox, his dreams survives. We can do anything... Oh Canada, I love my home Oh Canada ah ah ah ah ah Oh Canada, I love my home It's hard to be ... Below the 49th I feel so far away... The friends I've known beg my heart to stay And though I wasn't born to you I know what's inside of me To sing out proud for the land I love The true North, strong and free Oh Canada, I love my home Oh Canada ah ah ah ah ah Oh Canada, I love my home It's hard to be away It's hard to be away.

Hope 05:11
A child asks why.. does a star have to fall Where does all that light go Can we bring it home and keep it in a jar And know what heaven knows Summer moves to autumn’s tune and winter’s gloom is but a breath away The naked trees and little birds that sing so sweet Of springtime dreams and things that pass away Tell us sometimes smiles turn to frowns and often times we’ve broken down but something greater lives beyond those stars It’s small, quiet and powerful. It brings us closer than before Far beyond life’s ashes tears and smoke There is always hope. A child asks why would someone set a fire Why would they burn a home Do they think it’s fun to watch another suffer Where do all those tears run Tis but a week or maybe two, engulfed in flames Our little place of hope and faith burned through And families, four, that lived next door Lost their dreams, their good tidings, but something rang out true That sometimes smiles turn to frowns and Many times we’ve broken down But something greater lives beyond those walls It’s small, quiet and powerful. It brings us closer than before Far beyond the ashes, tears, and smoke There is always hope. They always say it’s darkest before the light And when a door closes sometimes the window’s locked up tight And when you’re tired and there’s no rest in sight We must remember…. That sometimes smiles turn to frowns and Many times we’ve broken down But something greater lives inside of us It’s small, quiet and powerful, and brings us closer than before Far beyond life’s ashes tears and smoke There is always hope.

Grace 04:09
Grace - Words and Music By Fae Wiedenhoeft 26 Feb 2010 For my Father, Richard Wiedenhoeft Grace for the patience shown when I was young and questioning Grace for the years you worked two jobs to give us things Grace for the silent times when you knew I had to walk alone Grace for the quiet but gentle love you've shown Grace for the garden strong that you built so the birds could sing Grace for the times you showed Mom was a star sparkling Grace for the times you sang.. cookin' breakfast, oh those Sundays home Grace for the quiet and gentle love you've shown It's not easy to raise a family Do your best, work hard, accept what will be Although we never dwelt on sentimental times or greeting card lines, you see I knew you always loved me Grace for the family trips, pack the car, and enjoy the ride Grace for the times we laugh along that rocky mountainside Grace for the sideways smile that your jokes so often know And Grace for the quiet and gentle love you've shown It's not easy to raise a family Do your best, work hard, accept what can be Although we never dwelt on sentimental times or greeting card lines, you see I knew you always loved me Oh you loved me! And I love you too!

Home 04:50
The summer takes a sigh The stars and moon are sitting high And I’m not willing to say goodbye For this is my home Storms settled in too long I held up your world, my shoulders strong And even without you, I know I belonged For this is my home The wind is in the night It speaks of a heart-spun flight And it’s far beyond our talks of wrong and right For I know I am home Cedars beckon me near The little birds sing ‘have no fear’ For even that great big sky, it sheds a tear For you’ve found your home My hopes live on your shores and your sand And I am far beyond trying to understand And sometimes love doesn’t walk hand in hand But I know I am home The wind is in the night It speaks of a heart-spun flight And it’s far beyond our talks of wrong and right For I know I am home I’m home.

about

". it’s small, quiet, and powerful
it brings us closer than before
far beyond the ashes, tears, and smoke
there is always Hope."
This is the 4th year that I have participated in RPM challenge. Within 28 days, this music was written & recorded.
The month was full of gigs, trips to Victoria, Olympic dreams & memories. I felt that I worked harder on this album than any other. It is the most personal album that I have released thus far. I hope that you will enjoy.
